You mentioned a lot of the problems I have with much of his stuff: namely, their predictability, and the characters’ almost unrealistic reactions to the situations in which they find themselves. It’s a rare occasion that I think the film is better than the story it’s based on, but I definitely feel that way about “Minority Report,” “Total Recall,” and even “Paycheck,” which I didn’t even think was all that great.
